Why Kombucha?

Kombucha is a probiotic tea with incredible benefits. It’s naturally low in sugar and caffeine, provides beneficial bacteria to restore balance to your gut, and is delicious too! It’s a versatile, non-alcoholic option that is as good for you as it delicious.

Kombucha’s most well known claim to fame are its probiotic benefits. Because it is fermented, it provides a host of gut-healthy probiotics that evidence shows helps strengthen immune systems and relieve gastrointestinal discomfort. The green tea - which is the base of Ferm Fresh kombucha - also provides bioactive compounds such as polyphenols, which help reduce free radicals and protect cells from damage. In addition, the natural flavorings - such as ginger, berry blends, or juiced greens - provide even more nutrients.

In the past few years, many people have become more interested in non-alcoholic options, while distancing themselves from high-sugar content juices and energy drinks. As people become more aware of gaps in their health and diet, there is a correlated rise in demand for healthier alternatives.

Why Sell It?

Though kombucha has been around for over 2,000 years, it is currently the fastest growing functional beverage in the United States. The kombucha market has exploded in the last several years, with the market value size in 2022 being $3.53 billion and an expected growth up to $9.7 billion by 2030.

Kombucha provides your customers or constituents with a unique, flavorful beverage. It’s also a great option for employee break rooms or cafeterias as an employee benefit; providing an alternative to coffee or high-sugar beverages for the mid-afternoon slump. Kombucha is a perfect addition to any organization or company looking to reimagine the healthier options it provides.

If you are a business that sells alcohol, kombucha is a great complimentary beverage for those who do not drink, or for those interested in a probiotic boost to their cocktail. Kombucha is a great base for either mocktails or cocktails and can be tapped into most existing bar setups without special equipment.

Why Ferm Fresh Kombucha?

Commercial kombucha, either canned or bottled, can continue to ferment on the shelves, altering it’s flavor. Ferm Fresh kombucha is brewed fresh and flavored weekly, with the highest quality wholesome and organic ingredients - sourced locally whenever possible. Our recipes and flavor combinations are unique to Ferm Fresh, including ingredients like locally grown Indiana pawpaws and persimmons.

Ferm Fresh is committed to sustainability, both with our kegerator and keg rentals, as well as our refillable growler program. Our plastics used in the shop - and sold to our community partners - are PLA corn resin plastics, which are fully compostable.

Ferm Fresh is owned and operated by natives of the Wabash Valley who continually reinvest in their community with their product, philanthropy, and time. Ferm Fresh is both woman and veteran owned.
